Sun

It has been rain, rain, rain lately. Yesterday afternoon, the sun made an appearance. What a welcome sight. Unfortunately, it is supposed to rain again this afternoon and tomorrow. So I am off to plant what I can this morning, and then I look forward to seeing the sun again Monday and Tuesday.

We have company this weekend, so I will be dusting off the camera. Stand by for action photos.

Also, someone has a birthday around here Monday, June 2. And she will be 29 this year!

The rains, particularly the weekend rains, are depressing at times.

But my poor yews on the terrace are coming to life, thanks to the rains!

Apparently they took an enormous beating from the snow and wind and saltwater this winter. These supposedly hardy evergreens weren't much more than brown sticks when I arrived.

Now I need the pruning shears that I got for my birthday to trim the tops off and get the growth to concentrate on the sides.

So thanks for the rains!
