Biodiesel shed

biodiesel shed 1.JPG

The plans for converting the greenhouses to biodiesel got bumped up a bit on the priority list with the hike in oil prices, and also because we were lucky enough to have help from Kat this fall with building the shed and assembling the equipment. We've started gathering the oil from the Creamery, a yummy restauraunt in Danville which buy veggies from us in season, but making the first batch of actual biodiesel will probably wait till spring. Usually Waverly goes with me to pick up the oil, and the way she says "biodiesel" always makes me smile.

Hi Maryellen, do you think you could stop by and take a look at the pictures I posted today of the (little) I have of a greenhosue structure...I'm trying to figure out what parts I should be looking into buying but can't envision how the whole thing goes together. When we came to look at the house there was a hoop house type frame covered with a thick tarp cover that had a big zippered door - it was a garage for the old owner's RV. Thank you so much! Hugs, Shannon

I hope my baby can say "biodiesel" someday!
