Weekend update

Waverly, Henry and I watched a moose.

Aleda came to work. All the new pots are filled with potting soil and in the greenhouse, and we are on the verge of being ready to turn it on. It was awesome to see Aleda. We are hopeful to have Aleda, Kat and Laura back working for us this year!!

Peter built and installed a vent for the new greenhouse.

2. Is Adela inside the barn working with the potting soil?
3.Nice work on the vent/door.

It was by the road up the road a ways so we mostly sat in the car, though we got out a few times to get a better view. I think it might be a yearling. I think the moms kick out the yearlings around now when they are getting ready to calve again. He seemed like he was still a little disoriented, hanging out very close to the road for a long time. 2. Yup, Aleda is in the barn, that's where we dumped the potting soil.
Posted by: Maryellen at March 13, 2006 08:53 PMNice picture of Bullwinkle. We got some of him curled up sleeping. He showed up in our front yard a week ago and then walked right up to Bob. We are not encouraging contact as he is young and you don't want him becoming too friendly with humans. He will only get more aggressive. But gee, the poor guy seems very lonely.
Today I notice that he is gone. At least temporarily. I do think he is a nice asset to the wildlife community around here.
