Wow!

This is magic! The last time I looked I thought Old Shaw Farm was just shaking off the winter. Now you have veggies going to market! Were these grawn in your hot house?

Maryellen, those salad turnips are gorgeous! The leaves look absolutely pristine - did you grow those under row covers or in the greenhouse? We have two more weeks till our first market (our first ever in NJ!) I'm egging our greens and peas on so we can have a nice first week's haul.

Shannon -- This post was actually by Peter but I think I left myself signed in and so he inadvertently posted as me. Anyway, those salad turnips were actually grown in the greenhouse. We were experimenting with growing small, short crops beside the tomatoes, figuring we'd have them done and out by the time the tomatoes got big enough to use the space.
