Spinach Strawberry Salad
Adapted from From Asparagus to Zucchini, a Guide to Farm Fresh Seasonal Produce.
Ingredients:
- sesame seeds
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 cup salad oil
- 2 Tablespoons red wine vinegar
- ½ bag spinach
- washed minced garlic to taste
- 1 cup strawberries,
- sliced or chunked
- dry mustard to taste
- 1 ½ teaspoon fresh dill or
- ½ teaspoon dried
Make It:
Toast sesame seeds in a dry skillet for several minutes, tossing often. Combine sugar, vinegar, garlic, dry mustard, salt and pepper. Whisk in oil in a thin stream. Toss with spinach, strawberries, dill and sesame seeds.
